Can I read the New York Times with my library card?

Yes! Having a Camarillo Public Library card will give you access to the digital version of the New York Times. To access it, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to our list of Digital Resources.
  2. Scroll down to "New York Times" and click on the link.
  3. Enter your library card number (found on the back of your library card) and PIN number (usually the last 4 digits of your phone number) when prompted, then click "Log In."
  4. On the next page, click "Redeem" to redeem your digital access code for the New York Times.
  5. The next page will have you sign up for a New York Times account, either using your Facebook, Google, or Apple ID, or your email address. If you do not have one yet, you can sign up for a digital account using any of these options.
  6. If you already have a NYT account, click on "Log in" near the bottom instead, then log in using whatever method you used to create your NYT account the first time.

This digital access code will work for 24 hours at a time. You can redeem codes each day you need them by starting from step 1 and then logging in instead of registering for a new account.

If you experience any trouble accessing the digital edition of the New York Times, please contact us; staff will be available to assist you during our hours of operation.
